About the Project

Completed in 2019, Mahendra Patil in Nashik takes an existing shell as its starting point, reworking it from within rather than beginning from a blank site. Circulation and zoning were treated as the project's real structure, with finishes layered on only once that underlying order was clear. Light fittings, material joins, and finish transitions were resolved with the same care as the plan itself, since an interior is judged at arm's length.

The space is experienced as a sequence of moments — arrival, use, pause — rather than as a single composed view. Like all our work, it is built on the belief that architecture should be inhabited, not merely occupied.
